With the FLEX BASE 5Z you are ready for four years of comfortable road safety. The modular base is compatible with the BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE, the new BABY-SAFE 5Z and the DUALFIX 3 i-SIZE - and each of them can be installed on the base with just one click. With the swivel function, you can turn each seat towards the car door to simply put your child in and buckle up. The DUALFIX seats can also be rotated 360 so that your child from the age of 15 months and a height of 76 cm can also drive forward-facing.

Modular comfort and flexibility
The modular base is compatible with the BABY-SAFE 5Z as well as the BABY-SAFE 3 i-SIZE and the DUALFIX 3 i-SIZE - and accompanies your little one from the first ride up to the age of four. The seats can be easily installed and removed with just one click. With the easily accessible release button, you can simply lift the baby seat by the handle. In addition, the adjustable support bracket offers additional legroom when your child is rear-facing.

Always geared towards comfort
In cars with reclined vehicle seats, your child's head may tip forward when buckled into the seat. For this reason, the FLEX BASE 5Z can be set in six different positions so that your child is always safe and comfortable on the go. It is best to set the right angle with the baby seat before installing the seat. With the DUALFIX 3 i-SIZE, the angle can be easily adjusted to a more comfortable position on the go - even while your child is sleeping.

Belt in no time - the rotatable base
All compatible seats for the FLEX BASE 5Z can be turned towards the open car door to make it even easier for your child to sit in and buckle up.
We recommend letting your child ride rear-facing for as long as possible. If it is over 15 months old and 76 cm tall, the DUALFIX 3 i-SIZE can also simply be rotated 180 degrees on the base so that your child can ride forward-facing.

With our FLEX BASE 5Z you can adjust the angle of the child seat to one of six ergonomic positions to give your child a comfortable and safe journey on every journey and in every car.
Always correctly installed:Thanks to the clearly audible clicking noise, you can always be sure that the BABY-SAFE 5Z is correctly installed. In addition, a highly visible indicator on the base station release button provides additional assurance of correct installation.
Britax Römer Pivot Link System: In the event of an accident, our patented Pivot Link ISOFIX system reduces the forward movement of the child seat and primarily directs the forces downwards. The force of the impact is cushioned by the upholstery of the car seat and the risk of head and neck injuries is significantly reduced.
Intelligent and adjustable support leg:The support leg offers additional stability for the base over the vehicle floor. It minimizes tipping and rotational movement and reduces the forward forces exerted on your child in the event of a collision - helping to protect them. The support leg can be adjusted in height for a secure installation. When the easy-to-read indicator changes from red to black, the support leg is firmly on the ground. If it is installed incorrectly, you will be informed by a beep.
ISOFIX locking system: Thanks to the ISOFIX locking system, the ISOFIX locking arms can be easily extended. This allows you to easily attach or detach the base to the ISOFIX anchor points in the car. When the ISOFIX locking arms are engaged, slide the base backwards until it touches the vehicle seat. This prevents the infant carrier from moving up in the event of an impact.
Easy storage:The base has been designed to be easily stored away. The support leg folds for easy storage in the trunk of your car or at home. If you fold the support leg under the base, the signal tone is automatically deactivated so that you can stow the base in peace.

Installation

ISOFIX with support leg
This base must be attached to the ISOFIX anchor points of your vehicle. ISOFIX is a standard system for attachment points in almost all vehicles. This ensures that the base is securely fastened in the car. The safe installation of the base is not complete until a support leg is used, as this ensures optimal stability.
