This rear-facing car seat features integrated linear side-impact protection for all-around safety. Rear-facing travel is one of the safest ways to travel. In the crucial first moments of a frontal collision, the child's body is pressed against the padded shell of the car seat, minimizing movement. This reduces the force exerted on the child's neck. While this is only mandatory up to the age of 15 months (76 cm), Cybex recommends keeping your child rear-facing in the car for as long as possible. The Sirona Gi i-Size is designed for comfortable forward-facing car journeys for children weighing up to 20 kg. (*Compared to the same seat facing forward in a frontal impact. Optimal breathability
Comfortable in every season. Thanks to all-around air circulation, air can flow through channels in the car seat, dissipating heat and reducing excessive sweating. The Plus version also incorporates mesh material, which increases breathability by up to six times compared to conventional material.

Side impact protection
The integrated Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P.) protects your child from the force of a side impact. In combination with the energy-absorbing shell, the L.S.P. reduces the impact of a side collision. The Linear Side-impact Protection System (LSPS) significantly reduces the impact force on the child.
