Putting your child in and buckling it up is now even easier: If the BABY-SAFE 5Z is installed on the FLEX BASE 5Z, you can turn it directly towards the open car door - for easy and quick access to your baby! Since the unlocking button rotates, it is also easy and convenient to reach - so you can comfortably take the baby seat out of the car.

For the best angle in every vehicle:The angle of car seats can vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle. That's why the FLEX BASE 5Z offers a unique angle adjustment to optimize the position of the baby seat for your car. So your baby always rides comfortably and safely - no matter how steep or flat the seat angle of your car is.
Newborn insert:The included newborn insert with shock-absorbing foam pads protects the baby and gives him extra support. It reduces the seat area and thus provides additional comfort.
3-point belt system: The 3-point belt makes it even easier for parents to buckle up and unbuckle and less annoying for the baby - without compromising on safety. The optimized sidewalls offer additional protection here.
Side impact protection: In the event of a side collision, the specially developed side wings absorb a large part of the forces acting on them and thus offer additional protection for your baby, especially in critical situations.
Grows with your baby: Thanks to the variable belt system and the adjustable headrest, the BABY-SAFE 5Z grows with your baby. With just one hand, you can adjust the belt adjuster on the back into the correct position so that your little one sits comfortably and securely at all times.
Adjustable carrying handle: Well thought out: the carrying handle can be easily adjusted backwards so that you can comfortably place your child in the infant car seat. All you have to do is unlock the buttons on each side of the carrying handle. And if you set the baby seat down on the floor, it's best to put the carrying handle all the way back so that it doesn't rock.
Extra large sun canopy:The particularly large sun canopy with UPF 50+, which is independent of the carrying handle, protects your baby from both the sun and the wind. At the same time, it also offers a quiet, sheltered place for cozy and relaxing naps on the go.

With foresight, Britax Römer has developed a machine-washable seat cover that can be easily removed without having to remove the belt. Installation

i Size
Britax Römer i-Size bases fit all vehicle seat positions approved for i-Size. Please check your vehicle handbook to see if your car has such approved vehicle seating positions.

On the base
Imagine your baby is sound asleep and you have to either lift him out of the car or put him in the car - without waking him. In such cases, many parents really appreciate the infant car seat bases. While the base is securely and firmly installed in the car and stays there, you can remove the baby seat from the base with a simple movement or click on the base. Without much effort and without disturbing your little one.

With strap
This child seat can be installed using the vehicle's 3-point belt. This is useful if you want to install the child seat in different cars, which may not all have ISOFIX anchorage points. The belt guides on the car seat will help you to install the child seat correctly.

If the BABY-SAFE 5Z is installed with the 3-point vehicle belt, the carrying handle of the baby seat must be aligned towards the back seat of the car. See user manual for more details.

On the stroller
There are days when there is just a lot going on. If you and your baby are traveling in the car, you can make it a little easier for yourself by using the baby seat together with the stroller. Simply take the baby seat out of the car with your little one and let it snap securely onto the stroller. And off you go.
