How to put baby to sleep?

Numerous prevention campaigns in Europe, Canada and the USA recommended a supine position in the early 1990s, thus drastically reducing Sudden Infant Death Disease (- 76%). Even though the baby's environment (temperature, air quality, mattress, etc.) undoubtedly has an impact on the risks of sudden infant death syndrome, the supine position is an important factor! In this sleeping position, the baby's face remains completely clear, reducing as far as possible the risk of swallowing, suffocation or hyperthermia.
