Its lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying material ensures comfortable wear on land and in the water. After use, the sun hat can be machine washed at 30____deg;C on a gentle cycle. For each LÄSSIG sun hat, plastic is reused and spun into yarn. The recycled material content is equivalent to 3 PET bottles. This calculation is based on an average PET bottle weight of 17.2g. By using recycled materials and innovative processes, as well as avoiding animal-derived components, LÄSSIG contributes to the circular economy and conserves the earth's resources.

Instructions for appropriate use
UV radiation can cause sunburn and skin damage if exposed to it for extended periods. This sun hat only protects the covered area; other parts of the body exposed to natural UV radiation must be protected separately, e.g., by applying sunscreen and wearing additional UV-protective clothing. This headgear does not offer protection against reflected or scattered ultraviolet radiation. The actual duration of protection provided by the UV-protective clothing depends on the child's skin type and the intensity of the sun exposure. The stated UV protection may decrease due to normal wear and tear and at the seams. If the sun hat is damaged or worn, please replace it or have it professionally repaired. The durability of the protective clothing is 6 years from the production date, even without visible damage. The composition, care instructions, size, production date, and UV protection factor can be found on the sewn-in label inside the item. Please store the item in a dry place and away from light. Rinse after every contact with chlorine and salt water. This is UV protective clothing (Category I PPE) that meets the basic health and safety requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425, Annex II. The protective clothing meets the requirements of EN ISO 13688:2013, Protective Clothing - General Requirements. The material testing is carried out according to UV Standard 801 (based on AS/NZS 4399:2017).
