Bombax is a modern take on a historically significant Steiff character. An elephant was the very first animal that our founder Margarete made in 1880. His raised "S" shaped trunk symbolizes good luck and reflects his cheerfulness. This shape was chosen in 1897 to represent the company logo, which Bombax proudly wears in the form of its neck mark. One of nature's most wondrous animals, Bombax is excited to join the Teddys for Tomorrow series as part of a new series of iconic characters made from alternative materials.
